Welcome to the plugin directory. This site is part of the b2evolution project, a feature-rich, open source blog engine. The plugin directory exists to catalogue the plugins and hacks that have been created to extend b2evolution.
Name: TuringTest v246
Author: EdB
Description: About time I had TuringTest listed as being for v2.* eh? The same plugin exists here, but it says for v1.8 and v1.9.
This is a very simple "challenge and answer" where you get to ask your commenters (or message form users or registrants) a question they must answer correctly. If they don't you will be able to give them a hint and let them try again.
Name: Bottrap X
Author: Tears
Description: This plugin adds a hidden link to your blog. Only robots which ignore the robots exclusion standard will follow this link and get blocked from your entire blog.
Protects from spambots, adress crawlers and so on. You can block robots manually or unblock good robots which made a little mistake.
Name: DNS Trackback anti-spam
Author: Larry Nieves (aka Austriaco)
Description: The (almost) definitive solution to trackback spam. It checks IP address of incoming trackback and compares with IP address(es) of referred site. If they don't match, trackback is rejected as Spam. Developed and tested with B2evo 1.10.2 but could work with previous 1.9.x versions.
Name: reCAPTCHA Plugin
Author: Cary Mathews
Description: A plugin allowing b2evolution to make use of the reCAPTCHA project from Carnegie Mellon University.
EdBName: Captcha Image
Author: blueyed
Description: The Captcha Image Plugin allows you to use Captcha images for comments and user registration, as a measurement against automatic spam attacks.
Name: Simple Turing Test
Author: EdB
Description: What you get with this is a customizable (via the back office) plain text field that your visitors will have to fill in before they can leave a comment. Registered bloggers are exempt from the test, as are those who've successfully left a comment already. You will be able to customize the test and answer and rejection text in your back office.
Name: Bad Behavior / Bad Behaviour
Author: Michael Hampton
Description: Bad Behavior is a set of PHP scripts which prevents spambots from accessing your site by analyzing their actual HTTP requests and comparing them to profiles from known spambots. It goes far beyond User-Agent and Referer, however. Bad Behavior is available for several PHP-based software packages, and also can be integrated in seconds into any PHP script.
Name: Antispam recheck
Author: EdB
Description: Okay here's the deal: this hack doesn't do a damned thing about preventing or thwarting spammers. All it does is make your back office a little bit easier to manage. A lot easier actually.
