Friendfeed

Friendfeed provide a number of ways to display the content that you are aggregating through the Friendfeed service namely the Friendfeed badge and the Friendfeed feed widget.

This plugin allows you to embed your Friendfeed badge or your Friendfeed feed widget into your blog. The plugin comes in two parts - the first part is a widget that will allow you to embed either your badge or feed widget inside a b2evolution container (the sidebar of your blog for example). Add this widget like you would any other widget to your blog. The second part is a text renderer (something in b2evolution that will change certain text in your posts to something else) that will embed your Friendfeed feed widget into a blog post.

Tweetmeme

Description: Tweetmeme is a service which aggregates all the popular links on twitter to determine which links are popular. Tweetmeme is able to categorize these links into categories and subcategories, making it easy to filter out the noise to find what your interested in.

Tweetmeme provide a button that you can add to your website or blog to enable you to share new content and tweet about it. The button provides a fully integrated URL shortener and the story or pages title. Each link which is posted on twitter adds one link to the link count on that story.

This plugin allows you to easily add the Tweetmeme button to your blog posts in b2evolution and allows you to choose where the button should be placed along with being able to choose between the compact or normal style buttons and specify your source name. The choices available for the position are the top or bottom (or both) of your post along with positioning it to the left or right of the text.

Google Webmaster Plugin

Settings:

Meta Tag Name: This is the name of the meta tag as specified on the "Verify a Site" page in Google Webmaster. This defaults to 'verify-v1' as this is what Google always calls it but make sure any way and change it if it is different.

Meta Tag Content: The content of the meta tag as specified on the "Verify a Site" page in Google Webmaster. This will be the random letters between the quotes.

Yet another Google Analytics plugin

Description: Both of the available GA plugins appear to be broken and there is no sign they will be fixed any time soon.

The most commonly used one does not appear to work in 3.2.0 beta at all. The other one (d51) doesn't work at all unless you first rename the file and even then is missing the quotations around the GA user ID number in the script so it will appear to work but you will get no statistics.

This plug-in is a fix to the d51 plugin code and it should work with all 2.x and 3.x versions of b2evo without trouble. Please let me know if you find a problem. I will also consider feature requests, time permitting.

Post Snap

Description: This grabs the feed from your commenter's website and puts a little bit at the end of their comment that says "Recently (date) someone wrote 'blog post' at 'website'. Check it out!".

As always, there's a handful of settings you get to tweak to make it work for how you want it to work, and it'll work just fine if you leave them at their default values.

Please don't comment here as no one monitors this space. In the forums or on my blog works much better :)
