The plugin won’t instantiate.

It makes 2 instances when installed, and generates error pages on everything else you try to do after.

This is a test site to work out the bugs.

The problem is with the amount of memory allocated to the script in php. You need to edit your php.ini file to increase the memory to 10 or 12 MB. I increased mine to 12 and everything is working well. Please see this post for more information: http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=8512

i installed the current version, which fails to display the captcha image in the comments section. the test works though.

i tracked the problem to the session id: the captcha data is inserted into the database, but somehow with a different cpt_sess_id field than the one used when displaying the image through the htsrv url. it then fails with debug message ‘Private key is empty’.

the problem disappears if i remove the cpt_sess_id checks from all queries, but then false captchas are also passed.

any hints what might be wrong?

you know what, i try to find the plugins in other sites…then i re-read the doc…and i found: .15
Copy the captcha_img_plugin folder
that means what it means: not only the files, but a container…i re-find now the plugins backoffice…i think it would be ok…confirm in minutes…
and …NO .30
i have a folder named captcha…(with dir fonts inside) and the file plugin…also i compare with one other file…in plugins folder: you’ve done a mistake:
you write a “$this->” like this on the line:
” $this->name = $this->T_(’Captcha images’); “
now i try again an so on…
well.. installed, but no functionning…once more….45…total 1h and haven’t found the trick… here where i stop: Edit the settings for the “Captcha images” plugin for your personal preferences.
those settings are in the file capt…php ?ok seen…but nothing else…
here comments enabled:
http://blog.evoluve.info/index.php/up/2006/04/24/blog_outil_de_transparence_outil_de_conn#comments
but no more captcha… end … help
i search in all menus and no settings with the backoffice…

When I try to comment I get the following error message:

Cannot post comment, please correct these errors:

The captcha code was invalid: No stored private key has been found. You probably do not have cookies enabled or the timeout of 7200 minutes has expired.

I don’t understand the “No stored prive key” part and cookies are enabled in my browser.

I just upgraded my B2Evolution to 1.9.2, and I found that the Captcha just failed to work (even I have ungraded Captcha to 1.9.2 also).

Instead of showing the pic with captcha code, it just shows “This is a captcha-picture. It is used to prevent mass-access by robots.”

So how can I fix this problem?

Many thanks in advance!

Tim (and others having problems): make sure the “Test…” link at the bottom of the plugin settings page works.

Fantastic! Easy plugin to install. I was worried that it wouldn’t work with my version(2.4.5) but it did! Only problem I had was this message: No Truetype fonts available! which was easily solved once I copied some true type fonts to the empty fonts folder in the captcha plugin folder…

I’m just goofing around with this blog stuff, but it is still nice when things work!

Tried to install, got a message that the database needed changes, clicked install again, and it crashed the blog completely. Without a plugin like this, I get tons of spam comments. I had this installed perfectly on last version of blog. Upgrade ruined it!
