No longer necessary because the functionality has been integrated into the b2evolution's core.

The Sideblog plugin allows you to insert another blog in the sidebar of your skin with simple plugin call. A sidebar blog can be used for brief posts, links, photos or any other list you want arranged chronologically.

I had a couple problems with the other expanding categories hack that was posted, so I tweeked a couple scripts and came up with this (I think better) one.
This hack allows you to show and hide categories using toggled divs - not a copy of the expandable categories hack! I got it working from some help from another b2evo person, but thought it would be useful for others as a hack. I have the hack working on my site in the sidebar - works for version 1.10.
