You provide a list of youtube videos, install the widget in your sidebar, and your visitors get a randomly selected video with each page load. You set the width of the video to work best in your skin, and optionally settings to do your own html markup for the title. Oh and you can set it all up to be instance-specific settings if you're into that sort of thing. I like settings! I'm into that sort of thing ;)

Hot topics are the ones that get the comments. This plugin lists the posts that got the most recent comments, without duplicating a post that got more than one comment recently. You set a maximum number of posts to list and a "hotness" factor. The "hotter" you set it the less posts you're likely to see in your hot topics list (due to multiple comments on a post). Kinda groovy if you're into this sort of thing :)
