Antispam Bandwidth

This is a HACK and not a properly written plugin. We strongly discourage using this. This page is only kept here for reference.

This hack cuts the bandwidth spammers steal when they try to hit your blog if they are in your antispam table. Easily installed, and the biggest (first) part can/will survive upgrades.

Works great (once I blacklist myself ;)….

Now if there was an easy way to extend the hack to block by IP (so the blocked IPs will know why they are blocked)….

gc’s issue was handled in the forums - ‘nothing’ was when running the hacks file, but that’s not the way to do it.

Lawrence Chen: there is. I made up another hack that I need to submit to the plugins page. Guess I better get on it eh?
