This plugin is no longer maintained.

The (almost) definitive solution to trackback spam. It checks IP address of incoming trackback and compares with IP address(es) of referred site. If they don't match, trackback is rejected as Spam. Developed and tested with B2evo 1.10.2 but could work with previous 1.9.x versions.

I refer to this plugin as the “proper” solution to the whole trackback spam issue. There is no longer a need to disable trackbacks anymore. I would call it a necessity for any serious blogger.
