Last tested in version

Add new file type

First add new file type on your b2evolution installation
go to App Settings-> File Types
Add file Type
Extension = swf
MimeType = application/x-shockwave-flash swf

Put plugin file onto your blog

UnZip Cflash and upload it into your plugins folder

Activate the plugin

Go to app settings:: plugins
activate the new Cflash plugin

In postings

write your post and add this simple code (example)
[swf src=http://www.blog.cingusoft.com/media/blogs/Cingusoft%20Blog/so_tester.swf width=300 height=300 id=test version=7 bgcolor=#336699]

the src is the url of your swf file, you simply upload the swf file and add the url of your media library

  • id is the id value of your swf file
  • version is the flash video version
  • bgcolor is the color of the background

after bgcolor you can add other parameters

  • quality
  • scale

For future releases I will add more parameters

ATTENTION
The required values are

  • src
  • width
  • height
  • id
  • version

In this order

[codespan]src=value width=value height=valu id=value version=value[/codespan]

other values are optional.

id value of your swf file

I’ve never heard of such a thing, where do you get the ‘id value’ for a swf?

Can you provide some more detail on the documentation of what “View Type” setting should be chosen in the BLOG settings?

Naturenet

Just leave the ID as ‘test’ as suggested in the DOC file. That worked for me.

Candida Teodoro

Hi there, please help . . .

I would like to have flash movie files playing in my blogs and so I have installed the plugin and configured the file type correctly. I uploaded a .swf file for tests and it generated the code.
With this code, at the blog, I can see an image place with an red ‘x’, and no .swf play.

Then I read the DOC file in the plugin folder and changed the code accordingly. All I can get is the code projected in the place of the flash movie file.

My questions is, where do I get the ‘id’ and the ‘version’ mentioned on the DOC file?

How do I get .swf files to play in my ‘b2evolution’ blogs?

What I am doing wrong then, or what should I do so that I can play .swf files? Can you please help with this?

Please note that I have always the latest version of ‘b2evolution’. I tried to paste the codes in this post but was unable to post this message and opted in removing the code scripts.

Many thanks in advance
Best regards
